The Mathews Local School District officially broke ground this week on its elementary gymnasium and practice facility! The project is expected to be completed in December of 2025.
This endeavor marks a significant milestone for the district, as it will provide elementary students with a dedicated gymnasium—separating physical education classes and activities from the current shared cafeteria/gym space. The gymnasium will also serve high school athletic teams, offering additional space for practices and activities.
